Reasons I Love Twilight - #13...

Reason # 13 – Edward says “Brandy”

I saved this one for #13 because 13 is my number and this reason is about me. So there aren’t too many women/girls who can claim that Edward ever said their name. Unless you have the name Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Esme, Reneesme, Renee, Leah, Jessica, Angela, Elizabeth, Jane, Heidi, Tanya, Irina, and a few others, chances are good that Edward never said your name. Now I know that Edward didn’t actually say my name as in talking about a girl named Brandy/i, but he did say it, and that still counts!! Want proof??? Well, here you go!!

This is from the meadow scene when Edward is trying to describe to Bella exactly how tempting her blood is to him. If you want to look it up it's on page 267. :)

“You see, every person smells different, has a different essence. If you locked an alcoholic in a room full of stale beer, he’d gladly drink it. But he could resist, if he wished to, if he were a recovering alcoholic. Now let’s say you placed in that room a glass of hundred-year-old BRANDY, the rarest, finest cognac – and filled the room with its warm aroma – how do you think he would fare then?”

See, he said my name… :D Did he ever say yours????? :P

So since this reason is all about me, I decided to post some of my favorite recent pictures of My Spunk and share the beauty that has been captured on film. Can you believe he doesn't like to look at pictures of himself??? Silly boy!! But I guess that is part of his charm, he just doesn't grasp how truly glorious he is. :)

Here is a picture of him in Mexico a couple of weeks ago doing a radio interview. I just love that he's dressed up with a tie, but the shirt sleeves are rolled up and the shirt's not tucked in. He's still casual even when he's dressy. And his smile is so great... No wonder the Mexican fans mobbed him everywhere he went!

Here he is about 2 weeks ago when he received the New Hollywood Award from the Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala for his role in How To Be. There were some very cute interviews to come out of that with him and his stating the fact that he doesn't even have an apartment right now. He joked about having to leave the award in his car! Luckily I read today that he does have a place to stay for now, a little apartment that his management has him set up in. And it's probably a good thing that he doesn't leave that award on the dashboard in his car since his car is 20 years old and the old dashboard recently caught fire and he had to replace it. Yeah, no need to worry about that red light that's still blinking on the new dashboard... :D

And here is a picture of him from the Q&A after How To Be showed at the Austin Film Festival a few weeks ago. I just love the look on his face when he's thinking about things. And that blue shirt he was wearing did some amazing things with his eye color. Nice...

And here he is in Rome last week at a book signing. Oh the hands...

And this one is from Friday night when he and the Twilight cast taped an episode of a new MTV show called Spoilers. Looks like someone finally got that hair cut he had been hoping for. ;) And luckily for us the Spunk Hair is still there!! That episode airs on Friday November 14th. Watch for it, it sounds like it is pretty good!

Another picture from his time in Mexico. This time is was a photo session. Thank you Mr. Camera Man. This picture is a gift from above...

Here is an outtake from the new Entertainment Weekly magazine that features Twilight. More on that in a second. Lovely, truly lovely.

A picture from a photo shoot in Rome last week. He, Kristen Stewart, and Katherine Hardwick all had their pictures taken while they were there, and while the girls' pictures were good too, I'm kinda partial to this one...

Speaking of that Entertainment Weekly magazine... They are the ones who had the not so flattering pictures of him and Kristin on their magazine a few months ago and they apologized to him, causing him to say "Did I really look that bad?" in his cute little British accent. Luckily they have done a new article on him and Kristen and Twilight and they did 3 special covers - this one, one of Kristen, and then one of the two of them together. The magazines went on sale Friday and when I went to Barnes and Noble today (Saturday), I got the last one they had. As I walked in the door I saw the magazine racks to the left of the front door and there on the top shelf was My Spunk looking at me. I'm sure he was waiting for me. ;) So I walked over and picked up the magazine and then searched to see if they had anymore, but they didn't! So when I checked out I asked the girl if they had been selling a lot of them and she said "Yes!! I can't believe how many we have sold today and yesterday! I think we are already out!" I told her that this was the only one I could find and that it was luckily the one I wanted and she said "Good thing you got it now because I don't think we are getting anymore." Yippee!!! It was my lucky day!!! And the article inside was SO worth the $4.00!!!! :D

Not to mention the pictures... SO worth it!!!!

Yeah!! A Twilight reason that's all about me!! Have I got some great pictures or what?!?!

Reasons I Love Twilight - #14...

Reason # 14 – A Quote

Another quote that I love. It’s so sweet; Edward always knows just the right thing to say. While Bella is in hiding with Alice and Jasper, Edward is hunting for James -- the vamp who is looking for Bella so that he can kill her. Bella is worried about Edward being hurt, while Edward is worried about Bella being hurt. Both of them are anxious to see each other again and when Edward calls to talk to Bella this is what they say –

“I miss you,” I whispered.
“I know, Bella. Believe me, I know. It’s like you’ve taken half my self away with you.”
“Come and get it, then,” I challenged.
“Soon, as soon as I possibly can. I will make you safe first.” His voice was hard.
“I love you,” I reminded him.
“Could you believe that, despite everything I’ve put you through, I love you, too?”
“Yes, I can, actually.”
“I’ll come for you soon.”
“I’ll be waiting.”

Here's a picture from the movie of the scene when Bella has to leave -

And some pictures showing how Edward wants to protect Bella -

They sure are pretty...

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Edward???

The next reason is good... Not too many girls can claim it!! :P

Reasons I Love Twilight - #15...

Reason # 15 – Edward Dazzles Frequently

Bella often comments on Edward’s ability to ‘Dazzle’ people. Basically, by looking at them in a certain way he can get them to do anything he wants. Bella asks him about this while they are out to dinner, just after he has saved her in Port Angeles.

“You really shouldn’t do that to people,” I criticized. “It’s hardly fair.”
“Do what?”
“Dazzle them like that – she’s probably hyperventilating in the kitchen right now.”
He seemed confused.
“Oh, come on,” I said dubiously. “You have to know the effect you have on people.”
He tilted his head to one side, and his eyes were curious. “I dazzle people?”
“You haven’t noticed? Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?”
He ignored my questions. “Do I dazzle you?”
“Frequently.” I admitted.

Here is the scene from the movie when Edward and Bella are at the restaurant, where these lines are said.

Seriously, look at this face… How could you NOT be dazzled???

He's even dazzling when he's trying to be scary...

Edward dazzling Bella...

And Robert dazzling Kristen...

Seriously, how could anyone think he's not perfect for this roll??? :)
Wonder what's next...

Bonus!!

Okay, here's the same scene but from Midnight Sun. I can't resist...it's just so good!!

(Remember, Midnight Sun is Twilight but from Edward's point of view. Now we get to see what he was thinking during this scene. I started a little before where I started with Twilight, just to give a bit more perspective about what he's thinking and why. The words like this are the thoughts of the waitress and Emmett, because remember in this book we not only hear what Edward thinks, we also hear what everyone else thinks because he can read their thoughts.)

She offered us a booth in a quiet corner of the restaurant where no one would be able to see us - to see Bella's reactions to whatever I would tell her. I had no clue as to what she would want from me tonight. Or what I would give her.

How much had she guessed? What explanation of tonights events had she told herself?

"How's this?" the hostess asked.

"Perfect," I told her and, feeling slightly annoyed by her resentful attitude toward Bella, I smiled widely at her, baring my teeth. Let her see me clearly.

Whoa. "Um, your server will be right out." He can't be real. I must be asleep. Maybe she'll disappear...maybe I'll write my number on his plate with ketchup... She wandered away, listing slightly to the side.

Odd. She still wasn't frightened. I suddenly remembered Emmett teasing me in the cafeteria, so many weeks ago. I'll bet I could have scared her better than that.

Was I losing my edge?

"You really shouldn't do that to people," Bella interrupted my thoughts in a disapproving tone. "It's hardly fair."

I stared at her critical expression. What did she mean? I hadn't frightened the hostess at all, despite my intentions. "Do what?"

"Dazzle them like that--she's probably hyperventilating in the kitchen right now."

Hmm. Bella was very nearly right. The hostess was only semi-coherent at the moment, describing her incorrect assessment of me to her friend on the wait staff.

"Oh, come on," Bella chided me when I didn't answer immediately. "You have to know the effect you have on people."

"I dazzle people?" That was an interesting way of phrasing it. Accurate enough for tonight. I wondered why the difference...

"You haven't noticed?" she asked, still critical. "Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?"

"Do I dazzle you?" I voiced my curiosity impulsively, and then the words were out, and it was too late to recall them.

But before I had time to too deeply regret speaking the words aloud she answered, "Frequently." And her cheeks took on a faint pink glow.

I dazzled her.

My silent heart swelled with a hope more intense than I could ever remember having felt before.

Thanks for this Stephenie Meyer!! The world is a better place with Edward Cullen in it. Even if he is only fictional...

Halloween...

Halloween... Well, it came way too quickly and now it's done. Yippee for a whole year before we have to do costumes again! (Wow, when did I get so grumpy...)

Jorden decided to be a robot. He thought up the costume on his own and he and Tim built it. I forgot about the spray paint drying time so the boxes didn't get painted, but Jorden didn't care. And he was the big hit of the night when we went Trick or Treating. People were stopping and pointing to him, commenting on how great it was and what a good idea he had. Some people were even taking pictures! He sure was excited!!

Jillen was Alice Cullen from the Twilight Books. She was super excited and even wore her costume to school so that she could show all of her friends. We had a good time finding the right clothes and fixing her hair. She sure looked cute!!

Jayden started out the night as a motorcycle rider, but after deciding to get his hair colored, he soon turned into a vampire, thanks to the extra sets of vampire teeth we had. I was just excited about the Spunk Hair!! I loved it!!!

Ahh, my little Robert Pattinson... :)

Jensen wanted to be a vampire too, but a girl one. She was sure excited! And it's probably a good thing that she wanted vampire teeth, especially since she's toothless!!

What cute little Vampire Girlies we had!!! And scary too!! :D

Another Halloween down...

Locks of Love Inspired by Alice Cullen...

As Halloween rolled around and Jillen decided on what she wanted to be, she soon realized that either a hair cut or a wig would be required. She has been bugging me for a while now to get her hair cut again. Last time we cut it she loved it! It was really cute on her, but I am basically no maintenance when it comes to hair stuff, so I don't get her over for trims very often. But, we did it, and it's honestly never been shorter than it is now! But it looks awfully cute!! And we found out that if the hair that you cut off is longer than 7 inches, you can donate it to Lock of Love and Great Clips will give you a free hair cut! Not too shabby!! Here are some before and after pictures. And I also added some pictures of who she was trying to look like and who I think she also looks like. Pretty cute!!!

The Before's --

And The After's --

Here she is with the hair she donated to Locks of Love. I think she and I were the only ones in the shop who were NOT nervous about cutting all of her hair off! Some lady who was there getting her hair trimmed was like "I'm shaking for you! How can you now be worried?" Because she looks so cute!! That's how we could NOT be worried!! :D

The inspiration -- Alice Cullen from Twilight -

And Jillen with her hair Alice'd -

I think she looks like this when the hair is not Alice'd. This is Adrienne Palicki - she plays Tyra on Friday Night Lights. Her hair seems to get a little shorter each season, but I think Jillen looks a lot like her now.

And more After's, with the Tyra look.

She's sure getting grown up! And several people at school didn't even recognize her the next day! That's always fun!!

Puppies...

Wanna see a cute puppy??? How about 4 instead???

Aren't they sweet?

Snug as a Bug in a Rug!

Even puppies get their fill of picture taking. Reneesme is awfully cute, her little paw trying to block her face from the camera. She's a star, that's for sure!!

The kiddies sure do love these little girls!!
