Well, I think it's official...our Jensen is not a baby anymore. :( For the past few days she has been telling me that she thought one of her teeth was loose, but then she said it didn't wiggle so I didn't pay much attention to it. Well, this morning as I was getting ready to get her dressed for church she came out of the bathroom and said "Hey look, my tooth came out!" I said "WHAT?!?!" and sure enough, she was standing there holding it in her hand. Apparently she felt it wiggling so she went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. When she saw that it was moving she just grabbed it and pulled! No tears, no blood, nothing! Wow, what a difference from Jillen and her all-day-tooth-loss-cry-fests that we are used to! :D She is pretty excited about getting to use The Tooth Fairy Pillow that all the other kids have gotten to use. Good thing my Grandma Loe was such a thoughtful grandma, making me a tooth pillow that has lasted through not only me but all of my kids! That cute little pillow has seen a lot of teeth, and hopefully will see a lot more. Let's hope the Tooth Fairy has time for an extra stop tonight! :D
Boy, she sure is an independent little girl!
Jensen, the tooth, and the infamous Tooth Fairy Pillow! (Well, part of it anyway!)
The Tooth-Less Wonder!!
Who would have thought I would ever love Brown Eyes so much? Not me, that's for sure!
She is so excited to show her teacher and friends tomorrow at school that she's toothless! And now we wait for that Fairy...
*UPDATE*
Well, just as I was thinking how grown up she is, bedtime rolled around. We had the tooth all tucked into the tooth fairy pillow and I told her to go put it underneath her pillow on her bed. She was in her room for quite a while before she finally came out, on the verge of tears, and handed me the tooth fairy pillow. I thought maybe she had dropped the tooth or something so I asked what was wrong. She said, with trembling lip, "I decided I don't want to give my tooth to the Tooth Fairy. I've had it for a really long time and I'm just not ready to give it away. I don't want her to come." I know I'm a baby but it was all I could do not to start crying right there! :( I asked if she wanted me to write the Tooth Fairy a note and ask if she would leave the tooth. That's what Jillen has done with her last several teeth because she wanted to keep them and in an effort to get her to go to sleep I came up with the note idea. Jensen said that was fine, but she was still a little nervous and worried that the tooth would be gone. She just wanted to forget about it all together! Then she thought about it for a while longer and finally said, "Okay, write a note to the Tooth Fairy and ask her to leave the tooth tonight, but tell her that she can come back in 3 days and get it because I will be done with it by then. I still have to clean it and wash it and get all of the water out of it. See, it has a big hole in the bottom of it and I think there is water inside. My tooth still needs me, it's not ready to go yet. But it will be in 3 days." :D I have no idea where she came up with that but the note got written and an invitation has been extended to the Tooth Fairy to return in 3 days and take the tooth, if she wants to that is. ;)
Oh, this sweet girl, there's never a dull moment with her, that's for sure!! :D

I LOVE AMAZON.COM!!!!!
Just let me tell you how much I LOVE Amazon.com!!! They are so great!! I have gotten some really great deals there on dvd's and books. It's so great!! So how happy was I today when my favorite mail lady knocked on my door with a package from Amazon! :) And inside were my new Friday Night Lights season 2 dvd's!! The truly amazing part is that they don't even go on sale in stores until tomorrow!! Plus I got them for $11.00 off the listing price!! :D Boy, do I love that Amazon has a dvd hub (or whatever you call it) in Phoenix!! So, here are some pictures of my new dvd's. Sadly I have so much homework that I won't get to watch them until Wednesday, but they - along with the season 1 dvds - will keep me company until next February, when season 3 starts on NBC. If only we had DirecTV...then I could enjoy the new episodes in October. But we don't, and I won't, and that's okay. I will probably have school that night anyway! But if you have DirecTV, tune it!! You won't be sorry!!!
Yeah!! This year the whole cover is in color!!
Here's the front and back covers -- boy, they are such a pretty cast of actors! :)
And some inside shots -- look at all those shiny disks! :D
Oh, I'm so excited to watch it! And it even has commentaries too!! Man, I love those! :D Well, that's my excitement for the day. Now I have to get back to homework... :(

Braces...
Boy, what a difference 2 years makes! Jorden had his braces adjusted again this week and I realized it's been 2 years this month since he got them put on. It got me thinking about how much his teeth have changed since then. He's still got some more time with them, maybe a year or so, but it seems like some of his teeth have been pretty stubborn at growing in on time. They originally told us between 2 and 2 1/2 years, but I kinda think it may be a little longer than that. He says some of the other boys at school are finally starting to get braces on their teeth, so now he doesn't feel so bad about being the only one at school with them. We got our first consult when he was in 4th grade but since braces aren't cheap we decided to wait until he was in 5th grade before putting them on. And luckily now our dental insurance covers a little bit of it, so that helps us a little. Hopefully a year from now we will have a handsome picture (he'll kill me if I say lovely or beautiful :P ) of his straight, shining teeth. Until then, enjoy the difference and amazement that the braces have brought about!! I keep telling him the same thing my mom told me when I had my braces on -- You might not like them now but someday you'll thank me! :D

April 2006 - Boy, look at that short hair!

Another Post, And So Soon!! :)
I know, another post and it's only a day after the last post. I'll wait for you to recover from the shock of seeing 2 posts so close together...
I'm waiting...
Are you about recovered? Need another second?
Okay, so in case you don't know already, my sister Brooke got some pretty shocking news last Monday. She and her hubby, Elliott, and their little girl, Ellee, were happily living in Colorado, enjoying their little city and excited about expecting a new baby this October when the phone rang. They were told that Elliott was to report the next day for his deployment. What??? Elliott is in the Army Reserves but no one had told him anything about being deployed. They figured it must be a mistake, but after checking into things they found out that it was true, he was being deployed that week! They wanted him Tuesday but agreed to give him until Thursday so that he could get some things taken care of before leaving for a year and a half. Turns out, a transportation unit from Phoenix was short some people so they picked Elliott out of his unit and now he's off to Iraq. Needless to say, things have been a whirlwind since then. If you want to read more about what's happening, you can visit Brooke's page, the link is on the right side of this page, listed under Brooke and Elliott. He should be in Iraq for a little over a year and he found out that he actually leaves for there in a few weeks. Right now he is in Texas doing some training before the big trip. Brooke and Ellee are moving to Snowflake to live with my parents until he gets back, then they should be going back to Colorado since his job will wait for him. Brooke has been so sick with this pregnancy that she is sure missing Elliott and all of the help he is to her. But hopefully he will be able to get a little visiting time and maybe catch the birth, who knows.
So, I've been thinking a lot of about them and feeling sad for them all and I decided to put my sad mood to use on my PhotoShop program. I've been learning how to use it in my CAD class this semester and it's getting to be more and more fun. I've made a few things so far, and this is my latest piece. I really like it, but hopefully in a year or so I will look back and say "Wow! I'm so much better now!!" :D Hope you enjoy it, and check out Brooke's blog. She's such a wonderful sister, I know she will handle things well and come out stronger when it's done. We sure do love them all and are keeping them in our prayers!!

New Projects...
Well, we've been busy with lots of school stuff lately. Isn't that always how the last few months of the school year go? Here are a couple of the things we have been working on --
Jorden had to do a science project and he chose to build a volcano and show all the layers. He said his was one of the best in the class. (Thanks Mom!! :P )
I guess it's a good thing his Mom has made a few projects lately... :)
Speaking of his mom's projects, I haven't had any this semester so I was excited when my Sales and Marketing teacher said we have to do 2 projects this semester and then present them in front of the class. This is the first project we did, an office space. It's pretty plain, nothing too exciting, but the space was quite small so I couldn't go crazy. Next we should be doing a living room, which will be a lot more fun. Hopefully we won't run out of time in class to present them since we've already taken 2 full class periods (3 hours each) and have only gotten half way through everyone on this first project. I'm not sure we're gonna make it through the rest of the class plus a whole new project in only 4 more class periods...
Here are my presentation boards, with the finishes, the furniture, and the floor plan.
I drew the office but didn't have time to render it. Then when I did get some extra time, I decided not too since I wasn't getting graded for it and I should probably spend the extra time working on my business plan. :)
And Jillen was bored one day so she and Jensen started playing with the Dominos we got for Christmas from Uncle Blake and Aunt Laurissa. Yeah, we still don't know how to actually PLAY Dominos... But this is fun too!!
Wonder who ate that blue Popsicle???
And Jensen likes to include other toys into her designs.
And since Tim was bored, he jumped -- literally -- at the chance when a friend from work said he was going sky diving.
Tim and his friend Justin before the dive, looking pretty excited!
Jumping from 13,000 feet! You couldn't PAY me enough to do this!!
Freefalling!!
Time to get back on the ground...
He's already thinking of how long it will take him to save up enough money for his second jump...
Now you can see why I haven't posted in a while! :P Whenever the sky dive place gets Tim's video loaded up onto their website I will post the link, then you can watch him fall for yourself!!
